Detailed description is The HUB is a new community gathering space for arts, culture and recreation, located in the historic rural school and run by Cowichan Station Area Association (CSAA).

The HUB is a project of the Cowichan Station Area Association, a charitable organization whose mission is to bring neighbours together to enhance and protect the liveability, sustainability, and cultural heritage of our area.

In June 2011, CSAA signed a 40-year lease with the School Board to restore, renovate and manage the 100 year old Cowichan Station School and its associated buildings, playgrounds and sports fields as community centre.

Currently, despite ongoing construction and repairs, the annex classrooms, gym/theatre,a "Rec Room", playgrounds and trails, and the upper field are in use by renters, community groups and local residents.
