It was originally constructed in 1764, on the corner of Main and Park Streets, by Josiah Horsford - a renowned house builder of the day - and was moved to this site, near where Fort Hoosac once stood, around 1830 - with the Mansard section added in 1870. . . President Widrow Wilson Slept Here! While The House was owned by his daughter and son-in-law (the Sayers) President Wilson, enjoyed Thanksgiving dinner here in 1914 and learning, upon his arrival, that he'd been re-elected - thinking he had lost to Hughes, he gave an impromptu acceptance speech, from the east porch. . . The House was fully remodeled in 1986, taking great care to preserve it's quality features. A freshening in 2005 brought Wi-fi, Cable TV, A/C, etc. Today there are six spacious, airy bedrooms for our guests to enjoy. .
