Detailed description is A Christ-centered children's home that seeks to keep siblings in foster care in the same home.
The Homestead for Children will be a Christ-centered home for sibling groups in foster care in Northeast Georgia.
We hope to keep foster brothers and sisters together and living in a home with a Christian mother and father.
Often times siblings must be split up during foster care, because most homes can only take one to two children at a time.
The Homestead will serve Region 2 which is 13 counties throughout Northeast Georgia.
On average there are 400 children in foster care in Region 2 and only 90 beds available for these children.
That means that each foster child that does not have a place to stay must be moved out of the region and away from their friends and family.
We aim to address this problem and help as many children and families as possible! The Homestead's goal is to be up and running by April 2017.
