Hosted by former Poetry Slam Champion Sarah Lawrence, The Ground Up Open Mic is the hottest thing to do in Battle Creek every 1st Sunday from 3-6PM!. . We welcome artists of all ages to come and perform whatever it is they have to share! . . Each performer is given 3-10 minutes including setup (crowd dependent). Acoustic or stripped down sets are encouraged as there are space and time limitations. Although we are not big on censorship, one should keep in mind that there may children present and plan accordingly. Our biggest rule is respect, so abide by it. No cover charge. . .
