By envisioning a positive, sustainable future and acting towards fullfilling that vision, we will explore and share options to move us forward in a powerful way, supporting each other on this journey to create a future for our families based on earthcare, people care and fair share.. To promote networking and sharing of knowledge, information and experience to facilitate growing chemical-free, nutrient-packed food for our families to maintain their nutrition and health. To help each other in our permaculture garden and farm projects with hands-on workshops and field trips.. To encourage members to take a PDC course of their choosing and if possible, to receive certification.. To partner with the Hammonton Green Committee and other organizations to help achieve our common goals.. To support members who are creative and passionate about their ideas and projects.. Special Project. Our special project is to support the Witcraft family farm in becoming the first sustainable and profitable permaculture farm in Hammonton, and the first Permaculture Research Institute (PRI) in New Jersey. The potential to demonstrate how the family farm can thrive with permaculture is staggering and in great need everywhere. Let us start here in Hammonton and cause a domino effect.. General Club Format. . In the first hour of every meeting we will springboard off the permaculture framework to cover a different element or aspect of permaculture that we can take home and put into action. . . We will periodically feature guest speakers, usually in the first hour.. . Meetings may have reoccurring themes through the seasons such as soil fertility and composting. These are keys to productivity, nutrition and health. We will bring in experts in those fields to speak and guide us as we progress on our path to sustainability.. . The second hour will be devoted to networking/workshops and a short permaculture video at the end of the meeting.. . The purpose of the workshops will be to share information and experience among club participants.
