Detailed description is The Getaway is a small private place for people and horses to stay that is near equine trails and local stables that offer shows and clinics. "THE GETAWAY" is an apartment that is attached to our home and sits on our eight acre property.. We are making it available to trail riders as well as show and clinic goers. . Location - We are located 10 minutes north of Pulaski, WI (25 minutes north of Green Bay). . . The Reforestation Camp Trails and the Machickanee Trails are about a 15 -20 minute drive away.Nine Mile Trail is about an hour drive and parking for the Mountain Bay State Trail is a 10 minute drive. So you and your horse can stay at our home and trailer to various locations to ride.. . We are a 15 minute drive from Circle E Equestrian Center and not too far from other local stables. So if you are in town for a clinic or show we would be a nice alternative to a hotel.. . The Getaway has an attached deck with a private entrance. The kitchen has a full size refrigerator, stove, microwave, coffee maker and is stocked with dishes pots, pans etc. The bedroom has a queen size bed and there is a queen pullout couch in the living room. A nice twin blow up bed is available if you want to squeeze one more in (linens included). The bathroom shower is stocked with towels.. . The paddock is approximately 150ft x 32ft. It is electric and can be divided into as many as four paddocks with electric rope fencing. One large shelter is available and we have two stalls available in case of very bad weather.. Bring all supplies for horses such as Hay, feed, buckets etc. . Please pick up all manure and excess hay from your horse. We will supply a wheel barrel and pick.. . Costs - Based on two people - $75.00/first night, $55.00/each additional night. $10.00 per each additional person/per night. . Horses - $7.00 per horse/per night. . . Contact - [email protected] . . REFORESTATION CAMP TRAIL. *Terrain - Trails are mostly sandy and flat, passing through pine forests and hardwoods.. *Facilities - Truck and trailer parking area available. Portable toilet and picnic table along the trail. No dogs allowed.. *Trails - Eight miles of trails are well marked, 5 to 25ft. wide. Trails intersect with mountain bike trails and for a short distance are shared.. * open from mid-April to early November. *Fees - $4.00 day pass/$20.00 seasonal. *Personal Comment - I really like this trail. It is wide, easy going and well marked. Great for groups as you can ride side by side a lot of the time. I like to start beginners here as the terrain is not difficult but they get exposure to new things.. . The MACHICKANEE FOREST TRAILS. (Outback Rider's Trail). *Terrain - Trails run through wooded hills with several bridges over waterways. Land is mostly sandy but there are some wet, boggy areas, also a few rocky areas.. *Facilities - Truck and trailer parking available at 2 sites. Toilet at 2nd site. . *Trails - 15 miles run along edges of fields and roads where vehicular traffic is prohibited as well as along lightly traveled roads. Trails are 3 to 20ft. wide. Trail marking numbers are posted along the trail that correspond the numbers on a map. Open April 15th to November 15th. . *Map - available at trail head. *Fees - No charge. *Personal comment - Although I do not consider this a difficult trail system, it is more challenging than the other. Bridges, wet areas wide and narrowing trails through the woods gives horse and rider more experience. These trails are beautiful and a lot of fun!. MOUNTAIN BAY STATE TRAIL. *Terrain - The trail follows a former railroad corridor and does not have any severe slopes.. *Facilities - Day use only, No amenities at parking area or along the trail.. *Trails - 51 miles shared with bikers & ATVs. Surface is crushed packed limestone. Horses are allowed on the Shawano County section of the trail. ( the entire trail stretches 83 miles from Green Bay to Wausau.) Can accommodate horse-drawn vehicles.. *Day or seasonal pass required. Trail head parking areas are free of charge.. *Contact Shawano County Highway and Parks Dept. (715) 526-9182. *Personal Comment - This is a very easy trail to ride and well maintained. Horse and riders could be dropped off at trail head and picked up at a preset destination.
