Early, in 2014, we (Phillip Herrold and Deanna Abner) began the initial planning for a living, breathing art gallery in Valparaiso: The Enclave Project.
Our goal is to enrich the community through solo and group exhibitions of local and national artists.
The Enclave exhibits will give an audience to artists, while connecting the community to the creative visions, skills, and craftsmanship displayed in the artworks..
Beyond our goal of exhibiting art, we desire The Enclave Project, as a non-profit corporation, to serve our community by integrating education and the arts.
Our desire is for our students to be challenged creatively and to hone their critical thinking skills, while mastering the elements and principles of art and design.
In early 2016, The Enclave plans to open its doors to an after school program designed to bring these educational goals to fruition.
