The Boathouse is a four season, loft-style executive cottage that is perfect for families and mature couples. This place is truly one of a kind with loads of character and charm all in a prime location. . . Location. The Boathouse is located in Ancona Point on the South shore of pristine Sturgeon Lake. It’s a 5 minute drive to Bobcaygeon, 15 minutes to Lindsay, 40 minutes to Peterborough and 90 minutes to the GTA. You’ll know you’re in cottage country once you turn on to Lilac Lane. It’s a short drive up the quiet laneway with large overhanging trees creating exceptional privacy. The Boathouse is in a protected bay which means even on a windy day you’ll be able to enjoy nice and calm water, perfect for swimming and fishing off of the dock. . . Boathouse Features. Inside you’ll find 3 good sized bedrooms and a full bathroom with a jacuzzi jet tub. The kitchen has been updated with stainless steel appliances. There is an open concept kitchen, dining area and living room with a reclaimed brick gas fireplace. You can choose to stay fully connected with WiFi and satellite TV for those rainy days. Catch some rays and enjoy the million dollar views from the wrap-around deck on the sunny days.. . Property Features. Need a place to store your boat? Just drive into the wet slip! 250 feet of waterfront provides an immense amount of space to play. Jump off the dock into 5 feet of calm water or wade in at the shoreline which is shallow and sandy with a nice gradual slope. The yard has many mature trees so there is a perfect balance of sun and shade. Hang out on the gazebo while the kids play on the play set, or take the canoe out for a spin around the bay. Maybe even get a couple rounds of horseshoes in. Hopefully you’ve saved some energy once the sun goes down to enjoy a few drinks and reminisce about the day while you are roasting marshmallows around the bonfire. . .
