Detailed description is The IIT Guwahati Debating Society, will be organising ALFAAZ, the 4th National IIT Guwahati Parliamentary Debate from the 2nd of Feb to the 5th of Feb, 2012 as a part of Alcheringa, IIT Guwahati's annual cultural festival.. . FORMAT. . 3-on-3 Asians Format. Open Tournament - Cross teams will be allowed. You need not team up with people from your institute only.. . TEAM CAP. 30 teams with a maximum of 4 teams per institution. . ADJUDICATOR RULE . at least N1 (each team will have to field at least one adjudicator). . PRIZE MONEY. Prizes worth Rs 70,000 at stake. . ACCOMMODATION . Will be provided to all teams (Details to follow later). . The debate is being scheduled during Alcheringa which is the biggest cultural festival of East India. In the past Alcheringa has played host to the Swiss folk metal band Eluveitie, Sonu Niigaam, Shaan, KK, Shankar Ehsaan Loy,Parikrama etc. Apart from the musical nights there are several other events to look forward to, and who knows, by the end of it you might return home laden with goodies and cash prizes.
