Detailed description is Un espacio para la exhibición, la formación y el impulso a la creación escénica y musical en la ciudad de La Laguna . El Teatro Leal es un edificio situado en la calle Obispo Rey Redondo en la ciudad de San Cristóbal de La Laguna (Tenerife, Canarias). Fue construido por orden de Antonio Leal en 1915, con planos del arquitecto Antonio Pintor.. . Es un edificio de estilo netamente ecléctico. Su fachada de caracteriza por la profusión de elementos florales, animales y personajes, todos ellos realizados por López Ruiz. En su interior, destacan las pinturas murales y del techo, obras de López Ruiz y de Manuel Verdugo.. . En 1984 apareció en el primer censo de espacios teatrales públicos elaborado por el Centro de Documentación Teatral y se incorporó a la lista de teatros públicos que deberían ser restaurados.. . Después de su restauración, terminada en el verano de 2008, el aforo total del Teatro Leal pasó a ser de 608 espectadores.
