Detailed description is L’Associazione culturale Cantieri d’Arte Teatro della Chimera nasce dall’incontro personale ed artistico tra Antonio Marras (attore, regista e scrittore) e Silvano Vargiu (regista e attore), nonché dalla collaborazione tra la Società Cooperativa Sociale DuasCor DuosCoros - Onlus di Lula (NU) e l’Associazione Culturale l’Isola che c’è di Lanusei (OG). Marras e Vargiu dopo aver singolarmente maturato un’esperienza quasi ventennale nel settore socio-culturale, nell’ottobre del 2007 decidono di unire le proprie risorse per fondare un’associazione che, attraverso uno strumento poliedrico quale il teatro, valorizzasse il patrimonio culturale locale, le tradizioni popolari e la Storia della Sardegna. Una valorizzazione e un’identità che naturalmente nascono dal confronto e lo scambio interculturale. Dal 2007 ad oggi l’associazione ha prodotto, promosso e circuitato diversi spettacoli ed eventi culturali nell’ambito del teatro, delle arti visive, della musica, dell’ambiente, della comunicazione e delle tematiche sociali. Si è occupata inoltre di formazione all’interno delle scuole di ogni ordine e grado, dove ha realizzato numerosi laboratori teatrali. Ha gestito e curato l’organizzazione di manifestazioni, spettacoli, mostre, dibattiti, presentazione di libri, conferenze, festival e molte altre attività.
