The Anglican church has been a part of Tawa since its settlement in the late 1800's when there were two very distinct communities; Tawa in the south and Linden in the north. The first church building was erected on land granted to the church by E G Wakefield, who started The New Zealand Company that was responsible for settlement in the Wellington area. . . Services are held in two churches; St Peter's in Linden and St Christopher's in Tawa where the administration center is also located.. . Tawa-Linden Anglican Church is a Christ-centered church.
