Detailed description is This is the Official Club Enerji page! The Club has sensitised more than 9.3 million citizens and saved more than 14.2 million units till date.. Club Enerji started with educating and sensitizing school children, comprising several schools across the nation to spark off a youth initiative for curbing energy wastage through active measures. Piloted in 2007 with 12 schools in Mumbai and Belgaum, the campaign was extended to other cities in 2008, and has now reached a laudable target of 285 schools across in nine cities. In 2009-10, the club reached 250 schools in 9 cities (Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, Ahmedabad,Kolkatta, Bengaluru, Lonavla, Belgaum and Jamshedpur), sensitized over 1 million citizens and saved 1.5 million plus units of electricity – enough to light up 330 houses for a year! In 2010-11, children from 285 schools across the 9 cities were sensitized and encouraged to spread the word to another 1 million citizens and save 2 million units.. Till date, Club Enerji has reached out to more than 7 million citizens, collectively saving 11.2 million units of electricity and is present in 11 cities across 450 schools in India.. . Club Enerji provides the platform for children to share and expand their understanding, and bring about a chain-reaction that can significantly reduce wastage of energy in the country. During 2010-11, Tata Power Energy Club won the Gold medal in the Environmental Communication category by the Association of Business Communicators of India and ranked # 2 in ‘earth care’ category of Siemens ecovative award. .
