Gebze SHP ilçe başkanlığı ve Parti Meclisi üyeliği yapmıştır.. 2011 yılı Genel Seçimlerinde CHP Kocaeli Milletvekili Adayı oldu.. 2011-2012 yıllarında CHP Genel Merkezi’nde Örgütlerden Sorumlu Genel Başkan Yardımcısı Danışmanlığı görevini üstlendi. . 2014 yılındaki Yerel Seçimlerde CHP Kocaeli Büyükşehir Belediye Başkan adayı oldu. . . SOSYAL FAALİYETLEERİ:. 1999-2002 yılları arasında 3 yıl süreyle Gebze Çayırova Spor Kulübü kurucu başkanlığı görevini yürüttü. Bu süre zarfında Çayırova'ya 5 bin kişilik tribünlü bir stadyum kazandırdı. . Futbol okulu açarak 500 öğrencinin eğitim almasını sağladı. . 2008 yılında Gebze Güzeltepe'de 18 sınıflık bir okul yaptırarak, Milli Eğitime bağışladı. . Fener Bahçe Spor Kulübü Kongre Üyesi. Sayısız üniversite öğrencisine burs verdi.. Dünyanın birçok ülkesinde ve Türkiye’nin birçok yerinde çektiği fotoğrafları, Doğan Kitap tarafından yayımlanan ve birçok politikacı, sanatçı, işadamı, yazar ve gazetecinin yazılarının da yer aldığı “Günden Kalan İzler” isimli kitapta topladı. Kitabın tüm gelirini Türkiye Eğitim Gönüllüleri Vakfı’na (TGEV) bağışladı. . İkinci kitabı “Barış Yurdu Hindistan” Hindistan’da çekmiş olduğu fotoğrafların Tagore’nin metinleriyle buluşması ile ortaya çıkarılmış olup, 2015 yılında yayınlanacaktır.
