Born and raised in Kosciusko, I decided to venture out a little and try something different.
"Everything is better dipped in chocolate!" I'm Tara Tavares: owner and operator of Sweet-Ums.
Yes I dip all strawberries and apples and anything else you want dipped in chocolate.
This is a little business that actually got started in a funny way.
It all started with me making chocolate covered strawberries for my son's teachers at daycare.
I made a few dozen to many and decided to sell the ones I had left and boy oh boy did they sell! Thursday afternoon, before Valentine's Day, I started taking orders on chocolate covered strawberries and it branched into a wonderful business.
I started with dark and white chocolate and now I have 6 different flavors: Key Lime Pie, Orange Crème, Red Velvet, Marshmallow, Raspberry Sherbet and Chocolate Raspberry.
Strawberries is not it's about.
I also dip apples, cookies and marshmallows and bake cakes.
I enjoy this new found business very much.
