Detailed description is Bioscoop/Cafe-restaurant/Club aan het Timorplein in Amsterdam-Oost, geheel gerund door studenten.. Studio/K is een jonge, frisse bioscoop, gevestigd in de oude ambachtsschool aan het Timorplein in de Indische buurt in Amsterdam. We beschikken over twee comfortabele en prettige zalen, waarin actuele arthouse en de betere populaire films gedraaid worden. Een moderne, kwalitatieve mix die wordt aangevuld met de wat kleinere, gedurfde en kunstzinnige films. Denk hierbij bijvoorbeeld aan een vaste filmavond als Biosfeer, of de verschillende filmfestivals die regelmatig bij ons plaatsvinden.. . Naast de bioscoop hebben wij uiteraard ook een voortreffelijk café-restaurant, vinden er regelmatig unieke live optredens plaats en kan er gedanst worden tijdens de vele eigenzinnige clubavonden die georganiseerd worden. De studenten van Studio/K leiden de gehele organisatie, van directie tot kaartverkoop, waarbij er genoeg ruimte voor creativiteit is en het ons de kans biedt om naast onze studies ervaring op te doen met het runnen van een (culturele) onderneming.
