Department of Education's TRIO family of programs.
The TRIO programs have been established to help students overcome class, social and cultural barriers to higher education.
Consistent with the mission, the SSS program is designed to help students who are low income, have a disability, and/or are first generation college students successfully complete their college education.
Suffolk is now one of approximately 900 colleges and universities nationwide that offers an SSS program for its students.
