Detailed description is This Group is for active members of SAA as well as people interested in what we are doing (student art shows, artist lectures, etc). Feel free to check in. The function of the Student Art Alliance at SUNY New Paltz is to create opportunities for student artists and enhance the artistic experience of the entire student body. We endeavor to create bonds between students of different artistic disciplines, as well as between the students, faculty and community. This is put into effect through interdisciplinary meetings, open studios, and a regular series of prestigious visiting artist lecturers. We also facilitate open modeling sessions so that student and community artists can have the opportunity to draw from a live model.
