Detailed description is Stoked To Surf is a program that helps children affected by cancer through the therapeutic benefits of surfing, ocean education and camaraderie. Stoked To Surf (S2S) is a program of the California non-profit organization, Amazing Surf Adventures, Tax ID: 26-3661313 based in Avila Beach. Supported by a dedicated team and our title sponsor, Surfing for Hope (www.surfingforhope.org), this program is made possible for our county's youth affected by cancer. . Stoked To Surf's vision is to build camaraderie amongst children affected by cancer through the therapeutic benefits of surfing and ocean education. By providing a healthy outlet for these children, the benefits of boosted self esteem, new found friendship and healing will surely follow. Our goal is to offer the children ways to overcome their challenges through surfing. . This three month program is for children affected by cancer in San Luis Obispo County. Children who have cancer, are survivors or have a family member affected by cancer are eligible for the S2S program. The Stoked to Surf team includes highly qualified surf instructors, volunteers from the cancer community, a licensed therapist and several partnered organizations dedicated to the success of this program. .
