Detailed description is We're up before the sun to bring you fresh donuts. Come in and see us, to start your day off right! In May of 2001 Daylight Donuts on 6th street opened for business. In October of 2010 we opened the Spudnut Donut shop on the corner of Perkins road and Sixth street and that store is now in transition to becoming a Daylight Donut shop. The Spudnut signage will remain on the building until the Daylight signs arrive to replace them in early December. . . What happened to Spudnuts?? Glad you asked!! The original Spudnut organization ceased it's operations in the early 80's and more recently a fella made an attempt to bring the brand back to life. His attempt failed however and left many new store owners across the country searching for the proper mixes and other ingredients to remain consistent with the brand. I spent three years striving to remain consistent with the Spudnut brand but was not able to find a producer of the mixes in order to operate as an original Spudnut shop. We honestly did the best we could to be authentic but when it became impossible to do so we had to make the change. We are currently serving Daylight Donut products at our 6th and Perkins road location and you should only notice a subtle difference in some of our donut products, all of our famous sausage roll products remain the same. . .
