This is the perfect place to find quality, affordable, and beautiful handcrafted items with an earthy/ethnic/Boho vibe for everyone you love including yourself. SteMar Earthen Handcrafted Designs evolved from my deepest passion - the art of handcrafting beautiful, earthy, exotic, ethnic, and boho jewelry and accessories out of clay. . . I absolutely love working with my hands and carving tools. With Zen music on in my little studio at home, I let my free spirit go and connect with the universe. I am inspired by our Mother Nature – its beauty, complexity, and her raw forms of creating beautiful, unique, and rare shapes of any kind. It is what captivates my inner self - the one who loves our ancestors and their primitive ways.. . On 2015, I was pregnant with my youngest son and by the third trimester everything got very complicated. I was on preterm labor and suffering from severe pre-eclampsia, therefore, I was put on a strict bed-rest starting at 32 weeks of gestation until it was time to deliver our precious boy. Did I mention STRICT bed-rest? Yes, I did! As a very active person, it was very tough on me. However, I did not let it bring me down and since I have always been crafty, I decided to teach myself how-to knit by watching countless videos on YouTube – that way I kept myself very busy. Needless to say, with enough practice, I started knitting for my family and never, NOT EVEN ONCE, passed through my mind that I could sell my knitted goodies. Until one day in the middle of a very cold winter, I started receiving compliments on my hat and mittens from strangers. I was very surprised! Therefore, a couple of weeks later, with the help of my other half, my husband, AprilKnitsCreations shop was born. In fact, today, AprilKnitsCreations is called SteMar Earthen because I have decided to expand my business and incorporate anything beautiful, unique, earthy, and exotic I hand make out of clay.. .
