Steve Staats started designing frames in 1995 with the mere intention of building a stronger, lighter frame for his own two sons, Ryan and Alex Staats.
These frames were constructed to be maneuverable, lightweight and built to last.
The endurance of these frames has been amazing.
The very first Staats frame ever built was a mini cruiser and it was still winning Nationals after six years of racing! The frames became an instant success and soon Steve was approached by the Answer Racing Team to start building frames for riders such as Bubba Harris and Mike Day.
Soon everyone on the Answer team was on a Staats frame and the rest, as they say, is history.

Our frames currently use several exotic steel alloys such as true-temper, dedacciai and other double and triple butted tubing.
Each chromoly frame is hand built, belt-mitered and tig-welded.
Also available for the younger riders, we are proud to introduce our line of aluminum frames in double heat-treated 7005 tubing.
These frames come in Junior, Expert, Expert XL, Mini Cruiser, Junior Cruiser and Expert Cruiser.
The testing of these frames has gone exceptionally well, already racking up numerous National wins!.
