Peter's was founded in 1834 as the first Episcopal Mission in Charlotte at a time when Mecklenburg County was composed of just a series of small villages.
In 1857, St.
Peter's moved to the current location at the corner of Seventh and Tryon Streets.
This "Little Church" was razed and replaced in 1892 with the structure that proudly sits there today.
We recently completed renovating the Church and replacing our old pipe organ with a wonderful new Fisk organ.
We will continue to preserve this beautiful building for generations to come.
