June 21-27, 2015 This performance-based experience will challenge . and encourage you to stretch your musical abilities. . Everyone participates in at least one large ensemble . (band, choir, or orchestra). You will complete your day . with elective classes and an optional second ensemble. . Two 30-minute private lessons are included with your . camp tuition, and an optional package of two more . lessons may be added for an additional fee. Students fill . in their daily schedules with their choice of classes.. . Music camp is open to high school students who have completed grades 9, 10, 11 or 12.. . The St. Olaf Summer Music Camp offers high school-aged musicians an opportunity to work closely with professional musicians from the renowned St. Olaf College music department.. . St. Olaf Summer Music Camp will again be AWARDING SCHOLARSHIPS in the amount of $1,000 each to three outstanding Summer Music Campers. These campers must be rising seniors and each must subsequently apply, be admitted and enroll as first-year students at St. Olaf College for the fall 2015 term. The recipients will be chosen by the camp faculty, with one recipient chosen from each of the large ensembles: camp band, choir, orchestra, and piano academy. All rising seniors will be considered for the award, which will be presented at the final concert on Saturday afternoon. Each award will be a renewable scholarship for up to four years, for a total of $4,000 each. It requires only that the student participate in a St. Olaf music ensemble on their scholarship instrument.. . ACADEMY FEES:. Comprehensive Fee $610. . Additional Lesson Package $65 . .
