We would like to invite all community members to help spread the word and excitement about this project as we try to bring a center that not only provides a safe place for the community to use, but one that will also bring additional commerce to the area.

This concept was born out of a plea from a community member at a St.
Francis City Council meeting.
As fate would have it, in attendance that night in addition to the Mayor and City Council members, were members of the St.
Francis Chamber of Commerce, and the ISD 15 School Board.
From there a committee was formed to develop a plan to build a Rec center.

It is important to understand the goal of this committee.
This is not a baseball, or basketball initiative.
This is not a City or School district plan.
This is a group of community members, that believes that we as a community can build a facility that can service our families, students and senior citizens alike in a meaningful way that will be self sufficient and good for the community.

This task force has been structured to see that all sports interests are represented with 1 committee member for each activity.
Also, we have representation from the various age groups in our community from our student population to our senior population.
In addition to these critical pieces, we are working closely with the City of St.
Francis to help us where we need guidance.
The committee also has members of sports booster clubs, the St.
Francis City Council, the ISD 15 School Board, the St.
Francis Community for Drug Awareness and many others who offer valuable insights that will help make this vision a reality.
