Boniface Parish Picnic – since 1882, a Fourth of July celebration to honor the church and community.
Westphalia is one of five old German colonies located in Shelby County, Iowa.
It is on F32, 3 miles west of Highway 59 in the heart of southwest Iowa's picturesque countryside.
In 1991 we were placed on the National Register of Historic Places.
The historical district includes the church, rectory, cemetary, school, Our Lady of Grace Shrine, St.
Isadore (patron saint of farmers) Shrine, Ball Diamond, Klub Haus, and First Fruits (corn crib) We have one of the oldest credit unions in the state of Iowa and one of the longest winning amateur baseball teams.
