Pure maple syrup is harvested here every spring usually beginning in March and concluding around mid April. S & S Sugar Bush is a century old hobby farm located in western Wisconsin owned by the Stockwell's. Merchant Snow started tapping maple trees in 1900. It was then passed on to his son, Floyd Snow. In 1974, Floyd's daughter, Shirley (Snow) Stockwell and her husband, Lyle Stockwell inherited the family operation, thus the "S & S" name is derived from Snow and Stockwell.
