Nebenbei absolviert er eine eine Ausbildung in der (damaligen) Firma Höchst AG. als EAE.. 1979 - Nach abgeschlossener Lehre steigt er als Vollzeitkraft bei Sport Weigl am Ludwigsplatz 3 in Kelheim ein.. 1980 - Eröffnung „Sport Weigl“ in Regensburg. Helmut Wochinger übernimmt die Ski-, Hartwarte- und Tennis-Abteilung beider Filialen in Regensburg und Kelheim.. 1984 - Filiale Kelheim wird zu „Sportladen Kelheim“. Abgetreten an Helmut Wochinger inkl. Einer Angel- und Jagdabteilung.. 2004 - Die Angel- und Jagdabteilung wird aufgelöst und durch einen „ Tom Tailor Mode Shop“ ergänzt.. 15.11.2008 - Umfirmierung in „Sport Wochinger GmbH“. 01.01.2009 - Zusätzliche Übernahme der Filiale Abensberg..
