Speerhead Enterprises began in Winnipeg in 1972 as a partnership company registered as a Painting Contracting Company. In 1976, Ken Sawatzky purchased the remaining shares and formed a single owner company registered as Speerhead Enterprises Ltd. The business continued in Winnipeg until 1978, when it moved to the rural area of Rosenfeld Manitoba. Sand blasting and industrial painting were added to the services provided and in 1979 a new shop was built in Altona Manitoba. And in 1987, the business moved into its current location at SW6-3-1W near Rosenfeld Manitoba.. . Every year since 1977, Speerhead has completed contact work with Enbridge Pipeline Inc, a North American leader in the gathering, processing and storage of natural gas and Canada's largest natural gas distribution provider. In 1994, we became involved in various coatings as underground pipe coaters, specializing in internal tank linings.. . In 2009, Speerhead became more involved with Imperial Oil Ltd, Canada's largest refiner of petroleum products which are essential to consumers and businesses. We have been involved with the maintaining of their sites as well as tank coatings. . . And In 2014, we became involved in Tundra Energy Marketing who operate a network of pipelines, storage tanks and truck terminals with their main terminal near Cromer, Manitoba. We have completed integrity digs on underground pipeline as well as tank linings.. . Over the years, we have blasted and painted all types of oil storage tanks and vessels in the Manitoba and Saskatchewan area.. . Speerhead’s main paint shop is 30' x 60' plus office & storage space of 12'x 80'. A new insulated shop 48' x 84' was built in 2010 and completed in 2011.. . All Speerhead Enterprises Ltd. employees are trained and hold certificates in all required aspects of our trade. We have a solid reputation of doing good quality work and a long standing employee 'Safety' record. On average approximately 70-80% of our work is Oil Field related.
