Detailed description is Spanish Stars is a Spanish program geared towards preschool-aged children with a curriculum designed to make learning language fun! Spanish Stars is a Spanish program for preschool age children. It is considered the “window of opportunity” in which young children are able to learn a foreign language easily. Children will develop social, academic and language skills that will help prepare them to transition successfully into Kindergarten. During this program your child will explore language and learning through an exciting language adventure. Classes are a perfect mix of games, projects, music and movement. The curriculum has been designed to promote learning and fun with a hands-on approach. Your child will have the opportunity to learn Spanish while developing essential early childhood skills, such as: fine and gross motor, self-confidence and social and appropriate interactions in a structured setting. Children will actively participate in age-appropriate groups with no more than 6 children.. Your child will…. • Learn by having fun!. • Learn with music and chants- because when language is combined with music, the words are easier to learn.. • Learn with movement- because young children are active and learn kinesthetically.. • Learn by doing- because the more active children are in their learning the more likely they will want to learn more.. The Results…Your child will create a weekly project to share with you at home. Additionally, your child’s individual language learning progress will be communicated to you throughout the 6-week program.
