Our congregation is a mix of Senior Citizens; young adults; and children.

Sunday Worship - 10:30am.

HISTORY OF SPANGLER CHAPEL.
Although the first church was not built until 1880, Spangler Chapel had its beginning in 1866.
The first records of Spangler Chapel United Methodist Church go back to the early history of the Muscatine Circuit.
After several years of revival meetings at the Fairview School House and membership growth, a meeting was held on January 4, 1880 at the home of Charles Spangler for the purpose of organizing a board of Trustees and taking the necessary steps toward the erection of a church.
This church was built in the summer of 1880 and was named in honor of Charles and Lucinda Spangler.
The first Ladies Aid was organized in 1907 and the first money making project was a pie social.
Over the years, there have been many renovations made to Spangler Chapel which were made possible by the hard work and dedication and support of UMW, MYF, Circle of Faith, and many members and friends.
Spangler Chapel consists of a variety of people who share their faith in God and work together for the Glory of God..

Sunday School time is at 9:15 A.M.
each Sunday from September through May.
Active, enthusiastic classes for all ages are offered.
There are many different needs throughout the congregation.
A variety of classes are offered throughout the Year to facilitate different needs and interests such as: confirmation classes for new members, special Bible studies for Advent or Lent, or topics of special need or interest..
