. Spadework is a charity providing life skills training and work experience for adults with learning disabilities. . Our aim is to support trainees to develop their personal skills through social interaction with the community and experience of working in a commercial environment as they help to run our plant nursery, garden centre, farm shop and café. Trainees are also responsible for creating display garden, maintaining the site and growing fruit and vegetables to be sold in our farm shop, monthly Farmers’ Market or used in the café. Trainees also have the opportunity to participate in woodwork, craft and IT, gaining an understanding of how these areas support Spadework as a whole. . Spadework is open 7 days a week..
