Each year it was held at Dodge City, Liberal, or Garden City, Kansas until it was decided the two beautiful renowned golf courses in Garden City should be the permanent home of the Pro-Am. . . What We Do . Since its inception, all proceeds from the Southwest Kansas Pro-Am benefit the Stephen Meyers Newborn Intensive Care Unit at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City, KS. The Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is designed to help infants that need a little extra attention to give them the best possible start in life. With the (NICU) being right here in Garden City, KS, families and loved ones do not have to travel long distances and stay for extended periods of time far away from home. The NICU at St. Catherine Hospital is a Level II, 7 bed unit with state of the art monitoring and treatment equipment. The unit admits approximately 100 critical care infants per year to receive specialized care for a team of highly trained team of caregivers. The Newborn Intensive Care Unit at St. Catherine Hospital is the local center for critical infant care in southwest Kansas. . .
