Community acupuncture is a model of treatment where treatments are delivered in a group setting in a single large room. Patients relax in zero gravity chairs in a quiet space while practitioners move from patient to patient, placing acupuncture needles in the surface of the ear, and arms and legs. The group setting allows for friends and family members to come in for treatment together. Sharing this healing space with other patients creates a community environment, which strengthens the treatment. Finally, our group setting allows you to control the length of your treatment, for up to an hour of treatment time.. . Our community clinic is offered on a sliding scale of $10-25 per treatment. In order to accomplish this, we reduce services not directly related to the acupuncture by having less practitioner time, more treatment time, and less office support. This enables you to receive treatments up to twice a week, which reinforces what acupuncture can do.. . In order to accomplish this, we do not have a direct phone into the clinic, but we have a voicemailbox. We will return phone calls only during the community clinic hours of Monday and Wednesday evening 5:30-9:00pm. . . To make it easy for you to schedule your treatment, you may access our schedule yourself and schedule in or cancel a treatment though our web scheduler. We require 24 hours notice for a cancellation. . . Need a private treatment?. We also provide treatment in our school clinic in a private room with an individual practitioner, and are fully supported by reception services. These treatments are generally $25 with discounts for several classifications of patient needs. Private treatments provide full body acupuncture, moxibustion, cupping, tuina, and herbal therapy. Several specialities are also addressed in these private sessions: Japanese acupuncture, Oncology, Pain, Pediatrics (no needles!), OB/Gyn, Sports Acupuncture, Tuina, Five Element Acupuncture and Chinese herbal clinics.
