Detailed description is Here at South Street Farmstand we are a small Homesteader farm. We sell our own Fresh Cage Free Chicken & Duck Eggs as well as our own Organic Produce.. We are located at:. 1915 South Street. Bridgewater, Ma 02324 . . South Street Farm Stand is a small family owned and operated Homesteader type farm. We raise our own Chickens and Ducks. We currently have mostly Rhode Island Red Chickens and Muscovy Ducks, but soon we will have Golden Comet Chickens as well. . . Both Rhode Island Reds and Golden Comets Hens produce a large brown egg which we sell for just $3.00 per dozen. . . Our Muscovy Duck Hens range in color from black or white, a mix of the two, or a blue-grey. The Muscovy is the largest domestic duck. Our ducks produce a Jumbo size egg with a very hard shell. These eggs have a larger yoke which makes them favorites for bakers. We sell our duck eggs for just $3.00 per half dozen or $6.00 per dozen. . . All the eggs we sell are unfertilized. They are produced here at out backyard coup by chickens and ducks that are cage free. We have very happy, healthy birds. Some might even say a little spoiled! On March 11, 2016 THE EGG SHACK portion of the South Street Farm Stand opened its doors to the public. . . To insure that you are getting the freshest egg possible we first gather the eggs daily, sometimes twice a day and take them to the egg cleaning station and clean and inspect each egg individually. We dip each individual egg into warm water (slightly warmer than the egg) and observe that it doesn’t float. Any egg that floats (floater) is discarded immediately. We let each egg air dry before placing them in the egg carton. Then and only then do we place them in The Egg Shack for your consumption. Fresh eggs are good for up to 2 months in the refrigerator.. . A cooking tip: To make deviled eggs, use week-old or older eggs, not this morning’s. The shells of really fresh eggs stick rather than peel cleanly.. . COMING SOON.....FRESH PRODUCE.
