I'm Barbara, and I began making jewelry as a hobby...mainly because I wanted certain styles of jewelry that I just couldn't find anywhere. I'm kind of picky like that when it comes to jewelry and clothes. I like comfortable...and different. And I like having one-of-a-kind items!. . I also enjoy art and decor that leans toward the primitive and rustic. I've brought that preference into my ©Leather-Wrapped Mirrors and other leather art using buckskin, fur and feathers gathered ethically and responsibly from local hunters.. . I spent the first 30 years of my life living in Brooklyn, NY and when our children were very young, we relocated to the Catskill Mountains in upstate NY. With two wonderful adult children and five amazing grandchildren, and an empty nest, the timing was right for me to take the next step with my jewelry and art. . . It’s an amazing feeling to know that I’ve created something that brings joy to someone else. That’s a major motivating factor in what I do. I like to design unique pieces of jewelry and art and, when I can, I enjoy recycling items and objects. Most of my work consists of one-of-a-kind pieces.. . Unique. Individual. Amazing.
