Instead of your typical part time job as a teenager, I was setting up at the local flea market selling and repurposing items that I was able to buy at yard sales or given to me by family. Some examples include: industrial drawers , lockers, and card catalogs (steel and wood), wash tubs, antique concrete planters, architectural salvage (columns, cast iron, screens, doors, windows) that go perfect in landscaping or as an accent piece, farm fresh finds (egg baskets, milk crates, chicken roosts, feed sacks, buckets, cream cans, lawn chairs) that can be given new life in a modern setting, items from grandma’s kitchen that we all want to have again (retro kitchen carts, wood handled utensils, cake covers, bread boxes, canisters, jars, crocks, and enamelware), rusty and dusty treasures from grandpas garage that can be used in a new way for home décor (handmade tool boxes, wheel barrows, wood and metal tool totes, oil cans, lanterns, vintage metal coolers, crates, and wooden ladders).
