The Small Business Clinic (SBC) formerly known as the Community Development Clinic is FIU Law’s transactional clinic.
The SBC provides basic corporate legal assistance to for-profit small businesses, entrepreneurs, and non-profit organizations that cannot afford to pay market rates for legal services.

The purpose of the SBC is to give students hands-on experience handling transactional legal problems while providing assistance to small business owners in the greater Miami area.

Among the services the SBC offers are: entity formation, contract review and preparation, review and drafting of commercial real estate documents, preparation of trademark and copyright applications, and preparation of tax exempt applications for 501(c)(3) status.
