Detailed description is Catering For Any Occassion Hi, My Name is Chef Netanya Richards the owner and executive chef of Simply Delicious Catering. . . Back in October 2010 I lost my job due to outsourcing. The idea of starting over was frightening to me. But opportunity knocked and I had the chance to be re-educated. The dilemma was, do I go to school and improve on the skills that I have just to work at another job in the corporate world or do I take a risk and do something that I am passionate about. . One day, I was sitting at home going through the unemployment blues, one of Oprah’s shows came on the tele, about “following your inner ship”. Well, I had that “Aha Moment” and chose to do what I had long desired. I went to culinary school and I was never happier working so very, very, very hard in my life. . . When I graduated, I couldn’t find a job starting off in this field making a decent wage to support my family so I went back to corporate because… I just really needed the money.. While wallowing in despair, I realized that I wasn’t following my inner ship and I felt lost. Cooking is my passion, I said to myself (my personal pep talk). I love the look, the sound, the smell and the taste of it. Most of all, I love to see people enjoying themselves and feeling comfortable eating drinking and celebrating life. So, what was I doing?. Well that did it! I called my best friend Dianna Smith sometime in June of 2011 and informed her that I was going to start my own catering business and she was going to help. What are friends for…? She jumped right in with me without thinking twice (Because that’s what best friends do) and that is how Simply Delicious Catering came to be. It has been an interesting journey getting here.
