Shuglaya está ubicada en el kilómetro 12 (10-20 minutos) de la vía que va de Baños a Puyo, entre las conocidas cascadas “Manto de la Novia” y “Pailón del Diablo”. Shuglaya cuenta con su propia cascada en el río San Pedro que bordea la propiedad. Existen varios senderos ecológicos. A Shuglaya se accede por una tarabita de 400 metros, a 150 metros de altura sobre el río Pastaza, con una impresionante vista.. . Shuglaya es una hostería pequeña, con capacidad de 12 personas, lo que garantiza privacidad y atención personalizada por sus propietarios. Tiene un cómodo restaurante donde se ofrece comida nacional e internacional tipo gourmet. En la finca donde se encuentra Shuglaya Ecolodge hay pequeños cultivos de frutas y alimentos de la zona, entre ellos mandarinas, tomates, babacos. En forma silvestre crecen aguacates, cañas, limas, naranjillas, naranjas, limones y hasta bananas. Cercano al restaurante existe un huerto donde se cultiva parte de las verduras que consumen los visitantes.. . Our huts are surrounded by greenery and nature in an area of astonishing biodiversity, at the entrance to the Amazon rainforest of Ecuador. . . Shuglaya is located at kilometer 12 of the Baños-Puyo road, 10-12 minutes from Baños by bus or car. You will arrive at Shuglaya in truly spectacular fashion: by cable car, with a breathtaking view 150 meters above the Pastaza River. . . Nature abounds at Shuglaya. Close by are two very well-known waterfalls, "Manto de la Novia" and "Pailón del Diablo." And Shuglaya has its own waterfall in the San Pedro River which borders the property. There are several nature trails for hiking, birdwatching or just a relaxing stroll. The lodge has its own orchards, where you can find tangerines, tomates de arbol, babacos, lemons, and other tropical fruit. Nearby in the wild grow avocados, sugarcane, limes, naranjillas, oranges, even bananas and papayas.. .
