Detailed description is A group from throughout the Shawnee school district whose goal is to establish a memorial for all veterans, living or deceased, to be placed at the school Our mission is to create a Shawnee Veterans Wall Memorial for all veterans, living or deceased, who have ties to the area of the Shawnee School District. The wall memorial will be placed at the school in a place of prominence for all to see. We are currently seeking names for the wall as well as funds to establish it. Forms for submitting names are available on our FB page, or visit www.shawneedistrict84.com We also will place forms at all post offices in the district, Cardinal Corner & the bank in Grand Tower, Fast Stop in Wolf Lake, & Fox Hollow Cafe in McClure. Or you can send the following information to Shawnee High School, c/o Becky Glodo, 3365 State Route 3 North, Wolf Lake, IL 62998, include full name, branch, dates of service, your name & contact info, & any other information you want to include. The high school clubs of Beta Club, FFA, & FBLA will be friends of the committee who will supply students to voluntarily help with the project. The clubs' sponsors are Jamie Nash-Mayberry, Beth Marks, Ann Ochs, & Gail Scott.
