Seu Jorge, nome artístico de Jorge Mário da Silva (Belford Roxo, 8 de junho de 1970) é um ator, cantor, compositor e multi-instrumentista brasileiro de MPB, R&B, samba e soul.BiografiaPrimogênito de quatro filhos, Seu Jorge teve uma infância dura mas tranquila no bairro Gogó da Ema, em Belford Roxo. Começou a trabalhar com dez anos de idade em uma borracharia, primeira de várias ocupações como contínuo, marceneiro e descascador de batatas em um bar. Serviu ao Exército Brasileiro em 1989-1990, no Rio de Janeiro, no Depósito Central de Armamento - DCArmt, fez curso de corneteiro militar no 2º Batalhão de Infantaria Motorizado Escola, mas não se adaptou à vida militar, sendo licenciado em janeiro de 1990.As variadas profissões nunca ofuscaram o seu verdadeiro desejo de se tornar músico. Desde adolescente, frequentava as rodas de samba cariocas acompanhando o pai e os irmãos em bailes funks e bailes charmes da periferia, e cedo começou a se profissionalizar cantando na noite. Foi aí que a morte de seu irmão Vitório em uma chacina levou a família à desestruturação, e Seu Jorge acabou virando sem-teto por cerca de três anos. A virada se deu quando o clarinetista Paulo Moura o convidou para fazer um teste para um musical de teatro. Foi aprovado e acabou participando de mais de 20 espetáculos com o Teatro da Universidade do Rio de Janeiro, como cantor e ator.
