Detailed description is Serpent Fire is a multi-faceted fire performance group based in Boise, Idaho. We are thrilled to offer performances, workshops, and hand-crafted props by the performers. We are currently open for booking! Serpent Fire consists of six performers who are each skilled in various props:. . Maria Ayala (Fire Hula Hoop) has been hoop dancing for four years and fire hooping for three. Her interest was sparked by one of her fellow performers in the group and her love of it comes from a desire to uncover deeper layers of the self and embody a more true version of HERself. . . Zach Kai Garner (Poi, Staff, Rope Dart, Fire Breathing) entered the world of flow arts in 2012 starting with poi, he began his journey with fire performance the same year. Shortly after, he picked up the rope dart and staff. In 2015 he started lighting up shows with his fire breathing. During performance Zach never fails to keep audiences in awe with his impressive range of prop use and his natural ability to entertain!. . Joseph Connelly (Poi, Juggling Balls/Clubs, Double Staff) has been learning and teaching flow performance arts for 7 years now! He has led choreographed group performances at Idaho Decompression, performed at many high and low profile events/shows in Idaho, and is an active member in the fire community in Boise. His experience and love for fire make him an integral part of Serpent Fire, “For me, moving with fire is one of my most valued forms of expression. It’s like a dance with yourself where you create a space for feeling deeply empowered by all the danger and intensity of it all.”.
