Official Sergio Leon Aguirre's Art Page My Art has been inspired by relationships of love, hardships, life lessons, family, culture and sometimes the struggle of being diagnosed bi polar that was presented in my life.
I am very fortunate that from a young age, i was presented with artistic materials from my father an Architect, who would allow me to borrow these materials and my mom who would purchase me drawing books.
I was always into art, from a very young age.
In grade school, i would go around critiquing and giving compliments to fellow classmates when it came down to art class.
I continued it in High school, but my true talent did not emerge until my first year of college.
Throughout, that year i would only attend my Art class, because i would not sleep through the night before due too inspirations i would have during the night.
I believe most of those inspirations came from the fact of being on my own and the pain i was feeling from ex relationships.
That i just could not concentrate in school, and instead i concentrated and expressed my feelings through my Art.
It went on like this throughout that first year in college, until i participated in a play of "Othello" where i played a soldier, and then the Senior Art Gallery on Campus, where two of my works got accepted for display.
Since that first year of college, I have continued with my Art, from time to time and have gotten into photography.
I used to think my Art was pretty dark, and there have been instances where i would get mad, frustrated with my art and want to destroy or crumple up my art because i would think it was worthless, it was not coming out right, or it was no good.
However, time has shown me that there are different stages in life, that we all go through, some happy, some sad, some dark, and some crazy and i am fortunate to say that i am happy for my life experiences up to this point in my life, and grateful that i never destroyed any of my works, no matter what i was going through.
That i learned to value my work and simply put it aside and forget about it, and because i was able to save my work and not destroy any of my pieces, i was able to create this page for my art, and photography.
I am grateful for this years later and grateful that i am able to share my page with visitors.
