Detailed description is . Serdar Ortaç, Türk şarkıcı, söz yazarı ve besteci. Bazı müzik eleştirmenleri tarafından kendisinin Türk pop müziğinde standartları belirlediği kabul edildi ancak 2000'li yılların başından sonra ürettiği şarkıların birbirinin tekrarı olması gerekçesiyle Özgür Hoca tarafından olumsuz eleştirildi.Hayatı ve kariyeriİlk yılları16 Şubat 1970'te İstanbul'da Vakıf Gureba Hastanesi'nde doğan Serdar Ortaç, ilk öğrenimini Kocamustafapaşa'da ve orta öğrenimini Suadiye Lisesi'nde tamamladı. Lise öğrenimini ise Haydarpaşa Endüstri Meslek Lisesi, Torna ve Tesviye bölümünde tamamladı. Babası küçük bir dükkanda torna tezgahı olan plastik kalıpçısıydı. Çocukluğunda babasının yanında çalışır, hafta sonları ise simit ve su satardı. Babası sayesinde iş hayatını ve ayakta durmayı öğrendiğini, birçok şeyi babasına borçlu olduğunu sanatçı sık sık dile getirmektedir. Yüksek öğrenimine Bilkent Üniversitesi Amerikan Kültürü ve Edebiyatı Bölümünde başladı fakat tahsilini tamamlamadan üniversiteden ayrıldı.Bir sene kadar İstanbul'daki radyolardan birinde program yapımcısı ve sunucu olarak çalıştı. Radyo programlarını dinleyen bir albüm yapımcısı tarafından dönemin plak şirketlerinden biri olan RAKS ile sözleşme imzalaması teklif edildi. Böylelikle o güne kadar yazdığı şarkılarını, kendi sesi ile seslendirme şansını yakaladı ve ilk albümünü yaptı.1994-99: Aşk İçin, Yaz Yağmuru ve Gecelerin Adamı17 Ağustos 1994'te ilk albümü "Aşk İçin" ile müzik dünyasına merhaba dedi. "Karabiberim" ile çıkış yapan Serdar Ortaç, bu parça ile uzun süre gündemde kaldı. Aşk için adlı albümünde ünlü müzik adamı Özkan Turgay'la çalışan Serdar Ortaç'ın albümünden "Değmez" ve "Hadi Git" gibi şarkılar da çok sevildi. Listelerde üst sıralara yükseldi. Serdar Ortaç bu başarısı ile 1. Kral TV Video Müzik Ödülleri'nde "En İyi Çıkış Yapan Erkek Sanatçı" ödülünü kazandı.
