Der Ortsverband Neustadt (Z22) des Verbands der Funkamateure in Telekommunikation und Post (VFDB) errichtete auf dem Gipfel eine Relaisfunkstelle, die am 30. November 1971 von einer Vorläuferbehörde der heutigen Bundesnetzagentur genehmigt wurde und seither durch die Funkamateure betrieben wird. Zu hören ist das Relais DBØXK auf der Ausgabefrequenz 145,700 MHz. Die Eingabefrequenz liegt bei 145,100 MHz.
