Detailed description is The Seldom Seen Mine is unique in that it represents, on a small scale, a relatively intact and complete site. The mine and site are small enough for the visitor to easily comprehend the entire process of mining and shipping coal. The visitor Center opens at 11am with the first tour entering the Mine at Noon. The last tour enters the Mine at 5pm.. . Months of Operation. May, Sept. & Oct.-Scheduled tours only for groups of 25 or more. June - Saturdays and Sundays. July & August - Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. . Rates. Adults & Seniors- $12.00. Youth ages 4 to 12- $6.00. Under age of 4 - Admitted free. Group Rates (25 or more)- $1.00 off on admission prices. *All rates are subject to change*. . Cash or Check ONLY. We do NOT accept credit/debit cards. . .
