Scott Cattle Company is a start up cattle company based in Buffalo, Minnesota. When deciding which type of cattle to raise on our farm we had our work cut out for us. There is an enormous selection of cattle available, and after doing much research we found the best fit for our ranch was the ancient British Whites. The decision was easy once these cattle were on our radar. Raising healthy, hormone free cattle in Minnesota isn't easy, but the Briish Whites happen to be an exceptional species for survivability in the cold winters of Minnesota. With their specific markings they can also protect themselves against the sun, imitating a natural sunblock during the hot summers. As a start up operation, these cattle are low maintenance as far as keeping a constant watch on them goes. They are able to calf on their own and need only marginal farmland and pasture. We need to keep the hormones, like in large production cattle, out of our bodies and out of our family's bodies.
