The students will work in teams of three over the one-day workshop, taking on the different roles of Chief Executive Officer, Chief Marketing Officer, and Chief Financial/Chief Technical Officer to develop their business concept.
By working in teams students will contribute to problem solving, develop skills in sharing, leading, communicating, building trust and dealing with conflict management..
The students will also experience hands on learning from facilitators who have participated/delivered accelerator programs in Australia and internationally.
During the workshops, the facilitators will also teach students about starting up a business in Queensland including, but not limited to; registering a company/business; solving a real world problem as a start-up concept; Unique Selling Proposition; Business Models and writing business plans; go to market plans; competitor analysis; getting traction; social media and public relations; building a team, and preparing financial projections/statements.
