Founded on October 18, 1914, Father Joesph Kentenich, together with a small group of students, formed the first Original Shrine in the little Schoenstatt valley in the Rhine region of west-central Germany. Seeing Father Kentenich's love for Mary, the students entered into a covenant of love with in the Original Shrine alongside Father Kentenich. The Shoenstatt Shrine is dedicated to Mary as the Mother Thrice Admirable, Queen, and Victress of Schoenstatt and, since then, the Schoenstatt movement has branched out with over 180 replica daughter shrines all around the world where people gather for prayer, renewal, and inspiration.. . In 1978 a young Puerto Rican family moved to the Atlanta area to find work. They had been involved in Schoenstatt in Puerto Rico and brought it with them. There are now seven home shrines in the northwest part of Georgia, including Colombian, Peruvian, and Cuban families. The picture of the Mother Thrice Admirable has been erected in theImmacualte Heart of Mary Church in Atlanta, and in the parish church in Dalton, Georgia.. . Viendo el amor que el Padre Kentenich tuvo por Maria, los estudiantes y el sellaron una alianza de amor con Maria en la capilla de Schoenstatt.
